By the end of the story, the Chief is informed about his youngest daughter, that’s she’s still alive. As he walks down the mountain towards the bears home he begins to get angry. Angry that his daughter is here. “A new race had been created that was not of his making.” Page 26. He is the creator, he makes life, and races and all things that live. When he found out that his daughter, who is now a grown woman, had done a thing without his permission. He was so angry that he made the grizzlies walk on all fours and not speak the human language again. “He drove his grandchildren out of the lodge,” This made the, now known as Indians, roam the Earth. “He took his daughter and threw her over his shoulder and took her up to the Sky.” Page 26. The lesson to be learned here is, “Going against the creator will result in punishment.” The grizzles were treated like animals and the daughter is no longer allowed on the earth. They both did something unforgiveable and were punished for their actions. The lesson to be learned from this whole story is to never ignore what your father or your creator has told you. It can lead to something sinful and ruin the plans of a higher person. I have
