Ethics is, in my opinion, one of the most discussed topics of all times. According to BusinessDictionary.com (), ethics are the “[…] basic concepts and fundamental principles of decent human conduct. It includes study of universal values such as the essential equality of all men and women, human or natural rights, obedience to the law of land, concern for health and safety and, increasingly, also for the natural environment […]”. All that, in theory, makes sense, but it is really not that simple in practice. The main problem lies in the fact that what is right for a group of people in a culture may not be particularly right for other people from a different culture, or not even from some people of the same culture. Reality has shown that ethics is a very subjective concept. To illustrate this better, let’s put the example of a soldier. Ethics norms say that kill another human being is wrong, or non-ethically correct; now, when a soldier kills another human being as part of their mission, they are just carrying an order and doing their job, which is ethically correct. Then, what is the ethically right side in this situation? The situation above is kind of extreme, but there’s definitely a contradiction there.
