The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the leading military engagements of the Revolutionary War. The battles were fought on the 19th of april 1775 in Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, within the towns of Lincoln, Concord, Lexington , Cambridge, and Menotomy. They marked the outbreak of armed conflict between the colonial and british armies. The town of Yorktown was founded in 1691 and is mostly known for the battle that occurred on the lands. On September 28, the battle of yorktown takes place in Virginia. George Washington and General Nathanael Greene were in command of the American Force and the British were led by General Charles Cornwallis. One of many significant battles in the revolutionary War, however this one ended the war. The Americans and French were able to surround the British.

The Battle of Fort Duquense was based off of strategic placement between the French and British within the Ohio Valley that took part over multiple attempts by the British to retake Fort Duquense. The many battles for Fort Duquense introduced George Washington’s military leadership, who participated in every conflict between the French and British for the fort. The French and Indian War, also referred to as The Seven Years War, began with British and French conflicts across the Ohio River Valley, as both nations wanted to claim the land for themselves. The first blood of the French-Indian War began with multiple British failures, including Washington’s dreadful defeat at Fort Necessity and General Braddock’s failed attempt at conquering Fort Duquesne, in which he died along with two-thirds of his army (Document C). The British would, however, gain momentum in 1759 with multiple victories, including their most significant triumph, Quebec.

The battle of Quebec (Dec. 31, 1775) (www.history.com) was a big victory for America; it ended the “Snow Campaign” in Canada and it downed many British forces in the occupied territory. In the text, History.com says on December 31,1775, General Richard Montgomery and Colonel Benedict Arnold led their continental troops to Quebec, Canada.

Joseph Logan also elaborates that on September 2-4 the American and French were in Philadelphia, where they marched and refused to fight nor leave Maryland until they were payed.
