Hatchet, the book, did a better job at telling the story than “A Cry in the Wild”. In my opinion, Hatchet did a better job at telling the story because it gives you more details. In Hatchet they use a lot of imagery. You can actually imagine what they are talking about without actually seeing it. In both, Hatchet and “A Cry in the Wild” they use foreshadowing.
There is significance with the title of the book because the book is about Wes Moore and another Wes Moore that he meets. The author got the name of the title because it is about two people named Wes Moore. On the cover of my book under the title it say One Name, Two Fates. This subtitle has a much deeper meaning. As you read the book you really learn how the two men have completely opposite lives.
An unknown author once said, “All the hard work, all the sacrifices, all the sleepless nights, struggles, downfalls, it all pays off.” When the author said this quote, they meant that if you have a goal in life and you are trying to catch your dream. Your hardwork will pay off if you work for it. Never give up even if you are struggling it will pay off. In the book Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls, he shows that Billy is very hardworking.
Zoe In 1961, Wilson Rawls published a novel titled "Where the Red Fern Grows" during his early adult years. He wrote this novel based on his childhood when he lived in the Ozarks. Thirteen years later, a film based on the novel was released and directed by an American director named Norman Tokar. "Where the Red Fern Grows" is about a boy named Billy who lived in the Ozarks of Oklahoma and desired to have his own hunting dogs.
These examples clearly show why Hatchet tells the story better because of its imagery and foreshadowing and some events in Hatchet weren’t in A Cry In The Wild. In conclusion ,this is why I think Hatchet tells a better story.

I believe that Hatchet did a better job of explaining the story using imagery and foreshadowing. In Hatchet, it did a great job of listing the details of how Brian was feeling, and what he was thinking. For example, in the book when he created the fire, it showed how excited and proud he was. The book also listed descriptive detail and it had more events. I often found that Hatchet was terrific at including constant of imagery.

While trying different drugs and working at a psychiatric ward, Ken Kesey was influenced to write his first novel, One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest. During his time and experience at the hospital, Kesey was inspired to come up with characters, scenes, and situations in the book. Kesey uses first-person point of view through Chief Bromden to tell his story of his own life through a character who was very similar to a man that he knew. The ward, a society in itself, is for the insane. Two characters, one insane and the other one sane help each other to overcome the society that they live in.
It took some time for me to decide on a last symbol to write about. I debated writing about an apple and the Garden of Eden and I tried to come up with an angle for writing about how witches are portrayed as ugly. But then I was at a play my future stepdaughter was in. My future mother in law made a hand gesture toward my significant other’s ex-wife during the intermission and I figured, I’ll write about the Corna. The Corna is also known as the Sign of the Horns.
