The Top 10 Things to Do and See in Whistler, BC

"Welcome to Canada" many would say in whistler, BC: and what a welcome indeed! Accommodations, from condos to luxury hotels, to bustling ski resorts that packed along the humble village stroll is what awaits you in this dazzling and chilled path. Lined with many restaurants, shops, and galleries, Whistler sits at the feet of two of the most sizeable mountains in the immediate area.

Combined, the two peaks form the biggest winter sports arena in North America, all the while an infamous village provides access to some of the best skiing in the world--Whistler was indeed an international cachet before it co-hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Many a day you can see riders whizzing down the mountain as if almost racing the many hovering gondolas. When riding the chairlifts, keep an eye out for bears treading along the mountain trails in search of berries.

More local thrills are available in the form of bungee jumping above the Cheakamus River to driving along logging trails on off-road vehicles. Not to mention Zip-lining, one of the most thrilling of pursuits in Whistler, BC and though it's a fairly tame pursuit, zip-liners do reach highway speeds while flying across forested valleys.

No doubt there are countless activities to be a part of within the valleys of Whistler. Another one would be The Whistler Hiking Trails. These trails range from breezy nature walks around Lost Lake to amazing mountain climbs. Five trailhead areas provide access to the provincial park from varied points between Squamish and north of Whistler.
