Whitney houston was born in Newark , New jersey she passed away in beverly hills ,California . Whitney was a very famous singer / actor she inspired a lot of people especially young african american girls because we had nothing to look up to .Houston had previously been offered several recording agencies (Michael Zager in 1980, and Elektra records in 1981), but her mother declined the offers stating her daughter must first complete high school] In 1983, Gerry Griffith, an A&R representative from Artista Records , saw her performing with her mother in a New York City nightclub and was impressed.So she brought out the Music and tried to relate to us in her songs she was young but she had her priorities and image on track .She had everything every girl could have wanted or asked for ,She lit up the world she changed the Music industry for young girls and also women in general .Before her death whitney was charised and praised she was a soulful person and brought culture in the industry . …show more content…
