Imagine the chrome exterior reflecting the curves of the black road. Imagine the roaring sound of the engine as you are pushing it to speeds of over 250 MPH! You clench your hands onto the padded steering wheel, get thrown back in the quilted leather seat by the speed of the car , and feel the wind whip through your hair when you have your Bugatti’s transparent top down. Ettore was the son of Carlo Bugatti (a famous furniture maker). He was born on September 15, 1881. At age 17 Ettore became a mechanic in a bicycle shop. and he put an engine on a tricycle in 1889 or 1899. But where did he get the money to start the company? His dad was a rich furniture maker. Ettore Bugatti died because of the flu and a stroke on August 21,1947 Where Are Bugatti’s Made? The Bugatti cars are made in Alsace France today. The cars are made in a factory but they are assembled by hand. They moved from France to Germany and back to France. Bugatti is owned by Volkswagen. What was Bugatti’s First Car? the first car Bugatti made was the Bugatti Type 2. What was it sold for? The Bugatti type 2 was never sold so it is unknown. It was made 1900-1901.
