Kids favorite candy throughout the united states was mnms. MnMs were created by forrest mars an intelligent man. Forrest invented is first candy the mars bar in Tacoma Washington. In 1940 forrest mars founded the m&ms business in Newark New Jersey. Mnms are delicious and fascinating. I can't believe that my favorite candy was invented during world war 2. After creating mnms for soldiers during world war 2, the candies became popular with people. Forrest mars became the sole owner soon after the war ended. In 1964 forrest mars and his father put their companies together again. The war time candies are the favorite candy of kids and adults. Mars came back to the united states and asked bruce murrie to produce his candies with him. In march 1941 they got the patent for making m&ms which the began in new jersey. The m&ms were only sold to the military during the world war 2. By the end of world war 2 everyone loved m&ms, so shortly after world war 2 m&ms were sold in the public. There is so much more to mnms than i thought! Mnm stands for mars and murrie, the original men who created mnms. The m&m's brown bag was introduced in 1948 and the m was imprinted black to make sure that you were getting the right candy. In 1956 m&ms were the number 1 in the united states. Mnms was the first candy to be launched up into space with the astronauts. Mnms have so many interesting facts. I selected m&ms as my topic because i wanted to learn more about the company and m&ms. I felt during the research was that i was learning about the m&ms and some other candies that forrest mars had produced here are some of them: milky way ,mars bar,3 musketeers,snickers,m&ms.
