The Crucible by Arthur Miller is a suspenseful story about witchcraft. Several of the characters are conniving and malicious because they’re accusing others of compacting with satan, Abigail Williams is a prime example of malevolence. I chose to write about Abigail because she is continuously dishonest and does not come clean even when given multiple opportunities. She shows just how malicious she is by trying to kill off Elizabeth for Proctors love. And finally she’s a conniving harlot for having an affair with John Proctor.
Abigail is malicious because she is a liar. Abigail lies when she’s testifying about Goody Proctor’s poppet. One of the lies she told was when she said,
