Like the Disney movie, “Inside Out”, we see in Arthur Miller’s, “The Crucible”, that things on the outside do not always match with what's on the inside. Take the village of Salem for instance. It seemed to be a nice place to live, yet no one could imagined the drama that was slowly coming to the surface. From the beginning, we see that Abigail Williams was one of the main causes of the drama. Abigail’s favorite thing to do was play games, but she will soon find out that you can not always win. She lived a hard life, starting with having to see her parents killed. From the start, we see that Abigail is not what she seems. She starts out in the woods dancing and conjuring spirits with her friends. When her uncle, Reverend Parris, found the girls, they all quickly denied it happening after a threat from Abigail. In Act One, Abigail stated, “Now look you. We danced. And Tituba conjured Ruth Putnam’s dead sisters. And that is all……. I can make you wish you had never seen the sun go down”. She also had some of her own conflictions. She struggles now that John Proctor does not want to continue their affair. In Act One, Abigail says, “ I look for John Proctor that took me from my sleep and put knowledge into my heart….”. She did her very best to tempt John and make him want her again.
