Andrew Jackson inspired many people, showing them how you should stand for your beliefs, fight for what you believe in, along with leading the country to good. Then there is also another side of Andrew Jackson that is evil, mean, cruel, and almost iniquitous. This side of him made him act in ludicrous ways. After looking at all the pros and cons of Jackson's history i think he is a villain.
Andrew Jackson during his time was considered a very patriotic politician he hated the rich, he hated the Indian, and loved the idea of slavery. It has been said that he grew up not educated and had a bad up bring but still managed to get to a high political suture. Jackson at one point was general and had a very decorated portfolio, which made sense he would become president, Andrew was most well know for “The Battle of New Orleans” where Andrew Jackson, prevented the British Army and General Edward Pakenham, from seizing New Orleans nearing the end of that war.
Andrew Jackson was one of the many presidents of the United States that had to deal with getting the United States out of harsh situations. Andrew Jackson always had a strong opinion about a lot of things and wasn't easily influenced by others. While many people saw him as a man of the people, some also viewed him as a bad president. He has gotten his country out of many battles but has also killed a large majority of innocent people throughout his life.

He liked to gamble and bet on horse races when he was young. He was also an orphan since his father died before he was born and his mother died.

He caused the Indian removal Act, Trail of Tears, and the Notification crisis. These are only a few of the horrible things he did. He caused the death of hundreds of Indians.
One particular troubling dispect of it was his dealings with native Americans. He signed and implement the Indian Removal Act 1830, which gave him the power to make treaties with tribes that resulted on their displacement to territory west of the Mississippi River return for their ancestral homelands. This made many people mad and angry, enough to hate Jackson. Jackson didn't let it get the best of him though.
While in presidency Jackson made many bad decisions like removing indians and pushing them West, vetoed a national bank, and invited a drunken mob of people into the White House. Andrew Jackson was a king-like tyrant. Andrew Jackson was a tyrant because of how he treated the indians in Georgia and then the Seminoles in Florida. According to Jackson’s letter to the Seminoles,“You will be resisted, punished, perhaps killed” (Source 5). This shows that Andrew would badly treat the native americans while they travel west of the Mississippi River.

In both today's world and in the Nineteenth century, Jackson is viewed as a controversial figure. People consider him controversial because he stood for the importance of following the wishes of the common man but then did not view the Native Americans living in America as citizens. Not to mention, he was also one of the largest slave-owners in Tennessee at the time of his election. Despite portraying himself as a defender of the common man, Andrew Jackson's presidency betrays him to be a complex politician regarding his commitment to democracy.
