Lockheed's many divisions work in unison to design, manufacture and provide maintenance support for their various platforms (Lockheedmartin.com, 2015). In essence, it is a one-stop shop for solving a country's need to provide security for its citizens. Since its inception in 1995, Lockheed Martin Corporation has grown its assets to become #196 on the Forbes list of the world's top 2000 public companies. With over $64 billion in assets and more the $45 billion in sales, Lockheed Martin is truly a major player on the world business stage (Erb, Avenue, Chen & Shin, 2015).
Culture WestJet is ranked as the number two airline behind Air Canada in Canada. WestJet has received many rewards for Most Preferred and Most Trusted airline in Canada. WestJet is also the recipient of Air Transport World’s value airline of the year award for 2014. Although WestJet is much smaller than Air Canada in terms of market share, WestJet is a peoples airline with their “Owner’s Care” ad campaign. Providing a good service to customers is key to WestJet, they have received the Best Customer Service Award in Canada for two consecutive years.
Therefore, the source of competitive advantage for Barclays would be quality customer care as envisaged in their strategy in citizenship and continuous development of new and unique products for the market. The ability to enjoy economies of scale from supplies and large capital structure should also offer Barclays, a hand in increasing competition. Institutional capabilities and endowment Barclays bank has both physical and intangible resources to help it grow to a leading financial institution in its strategic plans. It has both distinctive and threshold capabilities to allow it create a competitive advantage against its rivals (Warner, 2010).
Ryanair is a famous low-cost airline company which was established in 1985 by Tony Ryan family. It’s headquartered in Ireland and provides services across Europe.
