Author Fiona Guy said, ”family annihilators are a term used to describe someone who murders their entire family.” There are a couple of different scenarios that could lead to this, such as long-term chaos in a house, history of domestic violence, and even concerns about cheating on a spouse or partner. Most family annihilators usually take their own life after killing their family, but that's what makes Chris watt’s case different. From Chris not taking his life after the murders leaves to believe he could get away with it. Something else that is different with Watt’s case is, he had no history of domestic violence. What did happen though, was the confrontation from his spouse.

Chris carries Shan'ann to his truck while covering her in a blanket. He then backs the truck up, which is caught on surveillance video, and drives about 40 miles to the oil site where he worked.
