In the novel, “The Great Gatsby”, the theme is about the American Dream in the roaring 1920s. Jay Gatsby is described as a mysterious and wealthy entrepreneur and is often seen as the symbol of the American Dream! He’s also further described as charming and caring. At times he may come off as a lover in the beginning. However, he’s mainly viewed as an obsessive stalker of his love interest, Daisy. As shown in the novel, Gatsby does display his unhealthy obsession for Daisy, which also affects his relationship with others. When Gatsby first meets Nick, he views him as honest, trustworthy, and a good friend; he also views him as a good asset to get closer with his love, Daisy. Throughout the novel, the author, F.
