In reading the books A Child Called It, Lost Boy & A Man Named Dave I learned that it is very possible for an author to create a great inspirational story with a large impact on its readers. Author of these great inspirational stories, Dave Pelzer, proves that you can come back from anything in your life even a very traumatic childhood and young life. Every person has a chance to control or change their life even when they themselves have no true control over their life or situations. Dave Pelzer turned his life story into an inspirational and very motivational book trilogy. In the first book, author Dave Pelzer, explains his life from his young adolescence all the way into his later adult life. I have noted that Pelzer, a novelist, wrote great inspirational stories which each reader can have their own view or theory drawn from each moment. “A Child Called It” is a great book written by Pelzer which explains his younger years of his life. In the book he shows how even though his mother tried to overpower him, Pelzer learned he could not show his mother his moments of vulnerability. Mrs. Pelzer would take great advantage of the boy’s vulnerable moments that they cause a strong part of Dave to develop. Many people reading the book, “A Child Called It,” would be able to see the obvious advantages that vulnerability had cause in Pelzer’s life and in his well-known books.
