Carolyn’s experience whilst working in the media taught her never to hide anything from the public or shareholders and to be transparent and honest all the time no matter how painful the truth may be. The ability for Carolyn to be transparent makes it easier for all her employees, shareholders and public to understand her loyalty and commitment to the company and the future plans she has for Easyjet. She further reassure all those who may be in doubt by speaking out openly through magazine interviews, TV interviews and attending events where she will accept questions from both the media and the public. Carolyn sells her vision to all, from the board room to the hanger floor, by being honest and transparent. She generates her vision by speak to customers and employees and from that she provides a remedy to the situation with a clear view of what Easyjet stands for and what it promises to achieve and deliver to all its customers, employees and shareholders. Easyjet’s punctuality increased from 61 percent in 2010 to 85 percent in 2013 the time Carolyn became the CEO of Easyjet. Easyjet joined the FTSE100 and the share rose from 4p per share to 11p per share between 2010 and 2013 [7]. My Leadership style in comparison to Carolyn McCall. In my current roll I possess the same leadership skills that Carolyn has, however I believe Carolyn is more effective in utilising them than I do.
