It was once said by Octave Mirbeau, “Murder is born of love, and love attains the greatest intensity in murder.” Elizabeth Short, her murder seems to relate to the quote. Since all the suspects of who killed her were past lovers. One of her past lovers seemed to appear more suspicious than the others. The killer of Elizabeth Short was none other than renowned surgeon George Hodel. Before a person can accuse someone of murder, they must know the story of Elizabeth. In the newspaper article about Steve Hodel’s investigations, it mentioned how they identified her. It mentioned, “the first clue was the flowers in the hair of the woman in the picture.” Witnesses claimed that the two were a couple and seen together often.
