Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley born 30 August 1797 in Godwin and died in the 1st February 1851. She was a famous English writer and biographer. Her best Known novel is the Modern Prometheus or Frankenstein (1818), wich was her first science-fiction novel. Back in the time, the women status in the society was not favorate to her liberty reason why there were not many femal ghotics writers, but Mary, daugther of a political philosopher and a feminist and wife to a known poet, had all her family’s support. In the novel the monster described to be a 8-foot-tall (2,4m), grosteque but sentinent. The monster terrified Victor who renouces the experiment. The ugly creature run away through the wilderness. he finally found lodging beside a family of peasants who lived in a remote cottage. The monster learned to speak and get familiarized with their lives, whereby he became educated, eloquent and well-mannered. The family's father treated him with kindness as he were blind but when the rest of the family drove him away as soon as they returned. The creature got shot in the shoulder while trying to rescue a peasant girl from a river. At that moment he swore revenge on Victor Frankenstein for creating and abandoning him. Accordingly he killed Victor's younger brother William. When the monster and Frankenstein meet, the monster pleads him for a female equivalent to relieve his loneliness. Frankenstein agreed in the beginning but he abandonned the agreement as he was afraid of the idea of creating a race of monsters.
