Who Is Ned Vizzini's House Of Secrets: Fact Or Fiction?

In December 2016, I read a book called House of Secrets. This book was written by Chris Columbus and Ned Vizzini. This fictional story described an adventure that the 3 Walker children had when they got spirited away from their new home, and ended in them making it safely back. The 3 Walker children, namely Cordelia, Brendan, and Elanor, were attacked by the former owner of the home. Their parents perished in the attack. The attacker, a notorious sorcerous by the name of the Wind Witch, sent the siblings into a strange realm. The siblings later learned that this world followed the plot of 3 books found in their new home. They also soon discovered a very strange book, which consisted of only blank pages. When a wish was written on those pages, it instantly came true. The Wind Witch was using the siblings in order to get this book, because a curse prevented her from coming 10 feet near it. Eventually, after facing many life-threatening complications (barbarians, giants, and a murderous crew of pirates), they found the book, and wished to be home again before The Wind Witch came, and for their parents to be alive. The Wind Witch was sent to “the worst place ever”, courtesy of the youngest sibling (Elanor). This place is revealed in the second book, but I don’t want to get off topic. …show more content…

After getting through so many trials, they simply wrote where they wanted to be into the pages of this book. There were many other things to happen to the Walkers, but I believe I summarized them in the statement “many life-threatening complications”. In the end, the Wind Witch was distracted by a battle against another powerful sorcerer, allowing little Elanor to make it to the book. The ending was, just, cliché!
