A Doll's House In a Doll’s House, Nora and Torvald Helmer have been married for eight years. The perfect family they have isn't that perfect at all. Throughout this story there is no affection towards one another. Nora is untruthful while Torvald treats Nora wrongly. At the end of the story, Nora leaves because she doesn't love Torvald anymore and can't possibly find a way to resolve it. To be in love with someone, both people need to be truthful. Nora,who has never fully told the truth, lies to Torvald about the littlest things. During a conversation Nora and Torvald are having, Torvald asks Nora, “Hasn't nibbled some pastry?” Nora responds with, “No, not at all.” Nora later says, “You know I could never go against you.” This reveals that Nora lies to be the wife Torvald wants her to be. …show more content…
