The most challenging book was Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet was written in 1597, meaning the words, phrasing, and overall craft of writing was completely different. The old english made it hard for me to comprehend. In some parts I was completely clueless of what was happening. Most of the time I couldn’t tell if the characters were mad,happy, or sad. Throughout the whole book I was either pretending to understand or asking what was happening.

The easiest book was Stitches. I was able to follow along with reading the book, but even if I didn’t understand I was able to look at the pictures within the novel and understand. The whole book was mostly dialogue, making it simple and easy to understand since most of the characters were less intelligent. The illustration in the book is well drawn and easy to figure out. The author also included sections of a narrator telling parts of the story or a summary of what had just happened.

The best book I read was If I Stay. I chose this book because it always kept me wanting to read more. The book starts off with a cliffhanger. It was Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King. I read the back of the book (the preview) and was genuinely excited to read it. I sat down and read about 2 pages before I was incredibly confused. I had no idea who was talking half of the time. There was too much information too fast and the writing style was hard to follow. It was written in a country tone and took longer just to read one page because of words spelled weirdly to display a country accent. There were no quotation marks to show speaking even though characters were having conversations and it never clearly said who was talking. I might try to read this book again somewhere far in the future. The movie is probably good
