Rome is an ancient city known for its extraordinary architectural designs. It is also considered one of the world's most visited countries. Rome is famous because of its historical sites, churches, temples, and builds by the (famous) Renaissance art masters. Renaissance period began on the 16th century by the spread of the most important place in Rome. Michelangelo, Raphael, and Bernini are the examples of great artists during the Renaissance Period. For me, one of the most important urban innovations of Rome is the St. Peter's Basilica, a late Renaissance church located within Vatican City. It was designed by the world's famous artist such as Michelangelo and Lorenzo Bernini. St. Peter's Basilica is recognized as the holiest Catholic Church.
