Many well known artists were involved in the development of this time period including Leonardo da Vinci, Michael Angelo, and many more talented people. Renaissance meaning the cultural rebirth of Europe.
Art began thriving in this period, and humans learned more about themselves and their place in the world. The Renaissance began in Italy but quickly spread throughout Europe. Art and architecture were two big growth points, as many wealthier people commissioned much more artwork and architecture for themselves. Some important figures in the Renaissance were Martin Luther, who helped to kickstart the Renaissance by challenging the Catholic Church, Leonardo Da Vinci, a painter and inventor, and Michelangelo, who was mainly a sculptor but also painted the roof of the Sistine Chapel. The Renaissance altered people’s understanding and appreciation of humans due to increased emotion and detail in art, people engaging in more human-like activities in art, and people discovering our place in our solar system and the
Rome was a very unique place. It began long ago as a city in the center of Italy, on the Italian Peninsula. Soon enough, Rome grew into a kingdom. In Rome’s growth, there were many geographical advantages such as the Tiber River which provided trade and travel due to the ford, the mountain ranges that protected Rome from harsh weather and from attacks, and lastly the climate was very cool and rainy winters. Tarquin was the last ruler of Rome.
Throughout history, art has been very important. The biggest time for art, though, was the Renaissance. Many artists got their start in this era. Some popular artists include Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo Da Vinci. I believe that all of these people were amazing artists, but Leonardo was the most significant artist of his time.

The Great Artists of the Renaissance The Renaissance was an era of great masterpieces and ingenuity from the minds of the greatest artists in the history of humankind. Renaissance literally means "rebirth", which is fitting because this time period was the revival period for learning and values of the Ancients. This time period was thought by scholars to be a time of revival and upbringing from the dark times of the Middle Ages in which learning was lost.
Michelangelo was one of the most influential and significant people that lived during the Renaissance period. The Renaissance, meaning 'rebirth ', was a significant time in European history that existed between the 14th and the 16th century. It was a time that led to development and change in literature, arts, architecture and philosophy. Michelangelo was very fortunate to live in this period as it brought him great success, especially in art and architecture. Not only did he learn from this new way of thinking, but as he progressed in his career, he also had and still has, a major influence on many other artists, worldwide.
Italian Renaissance happened in fifth century B.C. It first rebirth on Florence, included the Medici family. The citizens of Florence work side by side to rebuilt and expanse the city. They rebuilt the Baptistery Doors, Florence Cathedral, and The gates of Paradise. In addition, they also created new scientific perspective, and naturalistic representation, also Painting, Sculpture.

These artists have created amazing works and have more than likely inspired many artists around the world today. These artists have created a huge impact on the importance of art along with giving more of a historic background.
Michelangelo had a gigantic influence on the renaissance. He was a master at both painting and sculpting, he also was an architect, engineer, and poet. During his day he was unbeatable in his painting and sculpting skills. He had many artist study under him and help him with painting the Sistine Chapel in Vatican, but none were on par with him.
The renaissance was a time of many different improvements and changes to the era previous to it, the medieval ages, the renaissance re-introduced many different Roman and Greek traditional aspects, so much so that renaissance literally translates into “rebirth” in French.
