Many of Jefferson’s inventions are hard to determine whether he was the first one to invent it or not because he never patented his work. One of his inventions is a mechanical pedometer. A pedometer is a tracker used to count your steps in order to promote and motivate you to exercise more.

JOHN ADAMS John Adams was born on October 30, 1735, in Quincy, Massachusetts. His father, John Adams Sr. was a farmer, minister, and a town councilman. Both of young John's mother and father were descendants of well known and important families during that time in colonial Massachusetts. John Adams Jr. attended Harvard university on a scholarship at the age of 16 and earned his masters degree in law. By the year 1758 he was admitted in the bar and became a successful lawyer.
On October 19, 1735 at Braintree, Massachusetts, John Adams was born. After being named after his father John Adams was set out to following in this father’s footsteps. That’s why, at age six, he was sent to Dalme Belche’s House, where he was taught arithmetic, reading, and religion. At age eight he attended Braintree’s Latin School to prepare for Harvard. To continue his dream to Harvard his father hired Joseph Marsh.
That was at the age of nine he started studying for that. He stayed in boarding school till the age of 16. Then he went to college at William and Mary. The classes he took was science, math, rhetoric, literature, and philosophy. Thomas died in 1826.
Davis attended a great deal more schooling than the average person in his time period. Jefferson was a student at a boarding school in Bardstown, Kentucky. Soon after he completed boarding school in Kentucky, he enrolled at Jefferson College in Mississippi. He soon transferred to Transylvania University, returning again to Kentucky. By President James Monroe’s request, sixteen year old Jefferson enrolled at the West Point Military Academy (“Who Was Jefferson Davis?”).

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was born in 1948 in Pin Point Georgia. He is now a conservative and controversial judge although initially he had wanted to pursue a religious life as a priest. He was one of the first African American students to attend St. John Vianny’s. The assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. was a turning point in Thomas’ life as he left the seminary and attended Holy Cross University, after overhearing another student make racist remarks about MLK.
