Who should we trust when it comes to ethics and technology. One of the concerns is and the most important one is that we as people are way to busy to even care anymore. Change is endemic from almost every corner of the world. We hear about the global economy where decision is being made in business today in one part of the world and those decisions are effected on the other half of the world. For example, dramatic changes in prices and therefore businesses go down. We also hear about regulatory changes as of it is going on now and seeing the dramatic changes in democracy and what impact it is having in the various parts of the world including our country and changes that we facing on how we governing it and what we govern. The technology now a day is very ungovernable, and makes me think who is the boss and who is in charge of all of this. And if no one is in charge who do we trust. A great example of this would be all social media, like Instagram, Facebook, twitter and etc. There is a lot of legal and ethical issues surrounded in the use of technology in education, internet privacy laws like the internet privacy laws. In the book the author states, “The common assumption in dealing with technology is that since we as human beings created it, we can control it.” (Page 95) As Christians we all have different opinions on that point of view. Technology has its own inner logic to witch we must conform to use it. For example, when we ride a skateboard, does the skateboard ride us, or do we put an effort towards actually controlling the skateboard. Sometime we would think that the skateboard does not ride us, we for sure control it. But on the further note we see that the skateboard actually controls us in many ways, because its own inner logic and the detailed structure shows us that in so many ways it shows us that we have to see what we must do in order to ride …show more content…

Throughout church history many Christians have addressed to the Bible in some or many different moral perspectives. Moreover they have seen the Bible as central in the formation of Christian character in believers and the collective life of the church. Some people see the Bible as book of moral codes for an ethics textbook. When some people look at the Bible they want to reach for specific direction in every situation possible. For my perspective I see the Bible as a guid for my success in the future and yes sometimes I see it as of direction or a path that I am suppose to take. But I would not be going to deep into the bible just to find that every possible situation that I need in my life. As a song, popular and some Christian circles, put it, "God said it, I believe it, that settles it for me." (Page 150) With this perspective, Ruam would go to the Bible to find the rule that applies to his need, most likely, "Be not unequally yoked," (Page 150) and make his decision. He would not process the nature of his dilemma or look at the full range of biblical teaching, and he certainly will not appeal to any other source as his moral
