The Weird Sisters are the Ones in Control in Shakespeare's Play Macbeth. Have you ever wondered who was in control in the Shakespearean tragedy of “Macbeth”? In “Macbeth,” the ambition of a Scottish nobleman, Macbeth leads him to commit regicide, and descend into madness. From the start of Macbeth, he was courageous, loyal, and brave. Then in the end he turns into someone who is arrogant, ruthless, and perhaps even cowardly. We see this happening progressively in the story. The witches, by saying this, Macbeth’s first thought was to kill King Duncan, as he believed the witches' prophecies that he would become the king of Scotland. According to Act 5, Scene 8 as Macbeth states, Thou losest labor. As easy mayst thou the intricacies air / With thy keen sword impress as make me bleed. / Let fall thy blade on vulnerable crests; / I bear a charmed life, which must not yield / To one of women born." that states "They have tied me to a stake; I cannot fly, / But bearlike I must fight the course. If he was sane, he could have simply just kept an eye on him, and if a threat, removed him from power quietly. The reason why Macbeth was concerned with the prophecy was that he interpreted it as Banquo's sons would replace him as king. With Banquo being the brave and noble best friend of Macbeth.The witches produced this prophecy, knowing that Macbeth, fueled by his ambition to remain king of Scotland, would become ruthless if he deems necessary, so the witches knew by telling that Banquo’s sons would become kings, Macbeth would be concerned and execute his best friend. His concerns being that Banquo, and his sons could become a threat to their rule.. As Banquo would produce a line of kings, but never said the king of what, so it could have been of Scotland. More likely though, it would have been just a city, or a large village.
