I am not responsible for Romeo and Juliet's deaths! No decisions or actions Romeo and Juliet made were my own. Romeo, however, is responsible for both Juliet's and his own deaths. Because Romeo also doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions before making a decision. This is because Romeo chose to kill himself without thinking it through. Minutes before meeting Juliet, Rosaline who is Juliet’s cousin was the love of his life.

The conflict between Mercutio and Tybalt was initiated by Romeo. Tybalt wanted to fight Romeo but refused, and Mercutio fought in Romeo's honour. When Romeo tried to restrain Mercutio, Tybalt killed him. As a result of Romeo's anger and revenge for Mercutio's death, he killed him. Romeo only made the situation worse. He got banished from Verona and caused trouble. I told Juliet this in Act 3 scene 5 lines 228-233. ‘…since the case so far stands as now it doth, I think it best you married with the county. Oh, he’s a lovely gentleman. Romeo’s a dishclout to him. I tell her to marry Count Paris as Romeo was banished. However, Juliet gets mad at me for my words as she thinks I betrayed her. Rather, I am telling her this as just moments before Capulet threatened to disown Juliet for not wanting to marry Paris. Juliet was my only concern and I did not want to control her, I only wanted what was best for her and I wanted her to be happy. As well as this, I also had no control over Juliet's death, and I had no idea Juliet faked her death. In Act 4 scene 5 lines 12-16, I asked, "What, dressed and in your clothes, and then down again?'
