a. Whole Foods has made many attempts and strides to go against the regular norms of large companies. They offer a unique set of mission and values that primarily focus on health standards, quality standards, and community unity. This is part of their way to think outside the box, adapting to the constant changes within the food industry. One of the many reasons that Whole Foods may have decided to experiment with the co-CEO position is the flow of ideas. Two different perspectives from different CEO’s may offer diverse views on a variety of issues and obstacles in going forth with company growth. b. The main issue that the multi-viewed co-CEO positions may have presented is the difference in opinions. The co-CEO may have had very different ideas on a large amount of issues. This could create internal chaos because getting relatively easy company decisions passed may have taken much longer than needed. It is very difficult to split the role of the CEO position because of the nature of conflicting views. Moreover, due to the lack of company quarterly growth, could offer the sole reason for the split of the co-CEO positions. The absence of the growth was most likely connected to issues within the co-CEO positions regarding conflicting views and overall company
