What would our lives be like without art? Would we have clothes, paintings or music anymore? Would we be happy? Throughout my life I’ve always looked at the art behind things. I play an instrument, I listen to music, I enjoy designing things and taking pictures as I look at the unusual things. To me I couldn’t live in a life without art, it brings people together and brings out the best in us. I believe that art should still be taught in all schools around the world because there are many benefits from teaching art. When the budget for a school is becoming very low the first thing a school will take out is usually their art program and why they do this is because it isn’t as “important” as math and english classes. Are math and english classes really as important if when they take out art classes they are causing students to not get good grades and not to be focused. There have been many studies that show us that kids with low-incomes but with high exposure to the arts were more likely to get better grades, have more workforce opportunities, be more involved and plan to get a bachelor's degree than low-income students with little to no arts education. A lot of studies show us that if we want more kids to succeed in school, they should have art classes. …show more content…

Arts education increases attendance levels and reduces the amounts of dropouts per year. I read a study saying that students in art classes will be more likely to go through high school and graduate where as those without any art credits dropped out usually eleventh or twelfth grade. Art classes reaches out to the students not usually reached and in ways not usually used. Another huge reason why we should have art classes because if you want to take art classes out so they graduate more focused on english and math, than what’s the point if they all drop
