Everglades National Park is home to a variety of species and attracts tourists from around the world. The problem is it’s in deep trouble. Humans have contaminated and destroyed the Park. Ever since, a load of problems have occurred. The contaminated water supply affects animals and plants, humans, and costs a whopping amount of cash. To start with, the water supply of the Everglades has devastating effects on the animals and plants that live there. The water that the animals and plants depend on is full of nasty chemicals! Phosphorus, nitrogen, and mercury can be found in the water. In the article “Can We Fix the Water Supply?” the text states in paragraph 4, “These chemicals contaminate the often limited water supply found in the Everglades.” However, changes are being made to cure the water!
