On September 11,2001 the Islamic extremist hijacked 4 airplanes. There were 3 terrorist attacks. 2 of those airplanes flew right through the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. A third plane hit the pentagon just outside of Washington D.C. The fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.There were lots of tragic events that day. At 8:45 am on a Tuesday, an American Airlines Boeing 767 flew right through the twin towers making a whole in the 80th floor of the 110 story skyscraper. The 9/11 attacks were planned by a Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda. The attacks were planned by a al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. 19 people that were from the Islamic extremist group were involved. Most of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and a few from Egypt,Lebanon,and United Arab Emirates. The United States main target was Osama bin Laden but he was the one that planned everything. According to Ron Paul,America is the blame for 9/11 attacks. He said that American intervention in the Middle East is the main motivation behind the 9/11 attacks. Al Qaeda wanted all westerners to leave but especially Americans. Osama Bin Laden had been wanting to attack the World Trade Center in 1993. They think that the main cause was America not wanting to leave the Middle East but they are not fully sure. America's Response America’s Response to the 9/11 was so fast. Americans were stressed about 9/11 and some americans began to show the victims that america was strong by demonstrate patriotism by flying the american flag from their front porches or car antennas. Celebrities organized benefit concerts and performances for these people. Americans donated 3,000,000 dollars in just 2 days to the red cross. People were so mad they would attack the Arab and muslim people in the first 10 days there was nearly 600 of these attacks. These were just a few of Americans response to these 9/11
