Elie Wiesel chose the title for his book, Night, because of many different reasons. I believe that the most important reason is because of fear. For many people, the nighttime is scary. There is darkness, there is the unknown, and there is the possibility of anything. “It seemed as though an even darker night was waiting for us on the other side” (Wiesel 84). At this point in the story, the Jews were being made to walk miles and miles through snow to the next camp.
