How did King Tut became king?
Around the time of 1335 BC, Akhenaten (King Tut’s father) died. Since Ancient Egypt was a country which depended on people controlling and ruling over their good beings and major decisions, Tutankhamen became King Tutankhamen soon after. Since Tut was very young when he became king, the first years of his king were mostly controlled by an elder named Ay. Ay made all of King Tut’s important decisions. King Tut was the 12th king in the 18th Egyptian dynasty (1550–1298 BC). He was a king for around ten years before dying.

He was only 19 years old so natural causes (like old age) is not likely. There was some damage to his rib cage and his leg was also broken. Some of the theories are that he was kicked by horses, murdered, or even crushed by a hippopotamus (in Ancient Egypt there were hippos which are now extinct). Hippopotamus could weigh up to 3,000 pounds, so it is actually likely that if one did happen to become annoyed and step on someone, they could kill the person. Although these could have happened, the most likely conclusion which makes the most sense is that he died from a broken leg and Malaria. The fracture of King Tut’s leg happened shortly before his death. When King Tut did die, his tomb was filled with precious jewels and gold. His tomb was buried in the Valley of the Kings at Thebe which was discovered on November 26, 1922, by a British archaeologist named Howard
