Medea wanted to give Glauke a gift and knew the only way she would take it is if her sons would give her the gift. When Jason saw that Medea wanted to give Glauke a gift he thought she had a change of heart. Medea wanted the gifts she has prepared personally given to Glauke because she put poison in the dress, that she knew she would want to try on. The poison Medea places in her dress killed her and when her father Creon the King of Corinth saw, he embraces her. At that moment the poison then took effect on him as well. The poison was so extreme that both died a painful death due to the excruciating pain to the point where they were not recognizable. She is the only one that would leave a town with no ruler leaving not just Jason with nothing but Corinth as a whole. Medea left Corinth without a leader and made the people of Corinth see that it was all because of Jason. Medea knew from that start what she was getting herself into and if that meant she loses everything, she was fine with. Medea saw that as a great punishment for Jason due to the pain he caused her. She left Jason with nothing because all he left her with was her soul. Medea gave Jason the torture and suffering she thought he deserves. Corinthian women would never put their husbands through that even if they did leave them. They would never let their anger get the best of them to the point where they kill their own children they brought into the world. They learned that they are the caregivers of their children and should not bring harm to them. Medea knew what she was doing and was aware of her future when she went through with her destructive scheme to take revenge on Jason. Medea left Jason with no one to bury him once he dies, no ancestry because she killed their children and is an outsider due to leaving corinth with no home due to the king and princess
