Is wonder by many people about Osama Bin Laden. Osama Bin Muhammad Bin Awad bin Laden born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on March 10, 1957, was the “17th of more than 50 children of Muhammad,” (“Bin Laden, Osama” 2) who was a Yemeni laborer and later became Saudi Arabia’s wealthiest construction contractor. The Soviet Union pulled out of Afghanistan in 1989 and so, bin Laden returned to Saudi Arabia and “took in active role in opposing the monarchy” (“Bin Laden, Osama” 4). He hated the fact that the kingdom joined the Persian Gulf War against Iraq thus allowing U.S troops on the Arabian Peninsula. After the war, he fled to Sudan, where he established many terrorist camps. This point in history is what fueled Bin Laden to hate the United States.
