It is no secret that Americans generally enjoy fast food and chicken. In fact, each year the average American eats approximately seventy-three and a half pounds of chicken (2011, June 19). So how well do two of the most successful chicken-based fast food restaurants compare in convenience, quality, and variety? A comparison must be made between Chick-fil-a and Zaxby’s to find out.

When the noose was around his neck and he had said his last words, the ropes were cut, and Painter plummeted down. Instead of killing him, the rope went tight and snapped, sending Painter to the ground.
When a witch had to be tortured with “The Garotte”, a long wooden pole with either string or metal attached to it. This went around the victim 's neck and fastened them to the pole. A metal spike or knife on the pole was hit into the back of their neck. This broke their neck, causing a slow and painful death. Another was “Dunking the Witch”, this was considered a way to find out if the accused was really a witch.
In several months hundreds of people were accused and most of them were hanged. Most of the trials were short, about few hours, people knew that if they accused on others they would not get hanged. Eventually everyone was sorried to, for some it was too late.
Salem Witch Trials The Salem Witch Trials were a terrible event that happened in the history of the United States of America was when innocent individuals where accused and sentenced to death for the crime of witch craft. More than 20 people were executed by hanging and one man was pressed to death by stones being stacked on his chest. In England they would burn people at the stake or throw them in a body of water with stones tied on their feet and if they swam to the top, they were a witch is they drowned, they were innocent.
The Reign of Terror In September 1793 to July 1794, the Reign of Terror killed over 40,000 people in France using the guillotine a machine that made it a simple way to execute a mass amount of people. The Reign of Terror was led by no other than , Robespierre. He was trying to form a new government but instead caused thousands of people to be massacred. Ultimately, The Reign of Terror in France was not justified because the threats did not require it, the methods were too extreme and It did not support the ideals of the revolution.

Water would cover the floor, rising up to prisoner’s ankles. The jails were infested with rats and lice, which was very unhygienic, many people died of illnesses. Over a dozen people died in Salem Jail (Weiser), if the family wanted to give the relative a proper burial, they had to pay for the removal of the body.
In similar fashion, most of the deaths in the European trials were hangings. Another way of execution was tying the persons hands and feet together and putting them in water, if the person sank, deemed innocent. If the person floated, considered to be witches and executed on the spot. Other tortures included thumbscrews, leg vices, scalding lime baths, whipping stocks, and the strappado. The strappado hoisted up a person and pulled apart.

In medieval times, torture was used to punish criminals, deter crime, and gather information. There were many different types of tortures, most of which were brutal and painful. At the time, torture was deemed necessary to maintain order. Laws were harsh and torture was severe, but effective form of punishment. Despite its effectiveness, torture was often an unfair and extremely cruel punishment, and should have been eliminated in all forms.
Dunking was where the accused was held under water repeatedly until they broke down and confessed to being a witch. Pressing was the other horrible test they did. You were placed between two stones and crushed into submission. This was only used once on an 80 year old man (Linder). Overall, 24 people were murdered, mostly consisting of women.
