The Industrial Revolution occurred in Britain for a number of reasons. One main reason was the agricultural revolution that had caused Britain to have massive amounts of food which led to the increase in population. Since the population was increasing, families started to move into urban areas and this increased the population in cities. Another major cause was the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment in which men with creative ideas gathered together in Britain and applied their scientific knowledge to the real world. Moreover, there were plenty of rivers and canals in Britain which made transportation very efficient and easy.
