The Revolutionary War started for political reasons mainly because of the French and Indian War; Great Britain wanted world power, they taxed for the finance of the French and Indian War, and taxed to maintain British troops in the colonies.The French and Indian war was between England and France in North America. France was winning at first but in the end, England won. This is political because England was able to rule more land, they could choose who could and who could not enter that land. For example, the Proclamation of 1763; colonists were forbidden to live in the new land that was west of the Appalachian mountains.
