The reasons The United States Supported the Allies in the great war, were many. Although President Woodrow Wilson had fought long and hard to keep a neutrality for America not choosing a side. He would eventually be forced to choose the side of the Allies. The United States at the beginning of the war kept open trade with all countries. America did not have any vital interests in the Great war. President Wilson was however sympathetic to Great Britain and France, and so even as he maintained neutrality he was slightly in favor of the Allies winning the war.
