The United States of America aim, since it became one of the leading World’s powers, was to fight against injustice, inequality, and for freedom of those who were jeopardized. Also, The United States of Americas was fighting for containment of communist power and stopping its spreading. Except joining World War I, with the same aim America got involved in other conflicts such as World War II, The Vietnam War, and many other conflicts. This paper will explain how these principles to fight for freedom, justice, equality and against communism were involved in American international warfare and America’s participation in World War I, World War II and The Vietnam War. After Britain policy, where Germany and other Central Powers were restricted to trade goods with another part of the World, Germany decided to respond introducing unrestricted submarine warfare. In taking this action, without warning, German submarine called U-boat attacked everyone who was on the radar (Wilson). Furthermore, after accidentally sinking American ship that was sailing through the North Atlantic, a few Americans were killed. This unrestricted submarine warfare, introduced on January 9th, 1917, was the primary reason that caused Woodrow Wilson—The President of the United States—to ask Congress to declare war on Germany on April 2nd. Four days later, America joined World War One on the side of the Allies. America saw this action as an unacceptable act that violated all restrains of humanity. Before declaring the war on Germany, Woodrow Wilson had called the Congress to discuss Word War situation and why would it be reasonable that America joins the war.
