War is not only a fight between countries, but it is the reason for destruction on Earth. An example of that is World War I, it is one of the worst wars that the U.S. was not included in, but after the actions of the RMS Lusitania and the actions of Germany, the U.S. had to do something. The U.S. had made a wrong choice in joining the war, because it caused the death of many people and the destruction of many lands. The RMS Lusitania was a famous ship in the early 1900s, however it had been taken down by the Germans, and that is what caused the U.S. to enter World War I. Nearly 1,200 people died, including 128 Americans (nationalinterest). When the U.S. joined the war many more lives were lost and much more destruction would happen. Entering WWI for the U.S. was a bad idea even if they wanted to take revenge, because there was death of innocent people and destruction of many lands. Then the Germans attacked and it ended with the death of people and the sunk of the Lusitania. In the afternoon, May, 1915 a torpedo fired by the German submarine U 20 slammed the side of the RMS Lusitania. “A mysterious second explosion ripped the liner apart. Chaos reigned. The ship listed so badly and quickly that lifeboats crashed into passengers crowded on deck, or dumped their loads into the water. Most passengers never had a chance. Within 18 minutes the giant ship slipped beneath the sea. One thousand one hundred nineteen of the 1,924 aboard died.
