Kya Owens 11th English 27 October 2017 C. Ellison D-Day On June 6, 1944 the war of D-Day began in Normady, France Led by Dwight D. Eisenhower and General Rommel. The Americans and the Germans was fighting in this war. The reason why D-Day happened was because they resulted in the allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany control.
