World War I, the Great War, took place from June 28, 1914 until November 11, 1918. The Great War began after several countries declared war on each other. There were four fronts: Eastern front, Western front, Atlantic front, and Middle Eastern front. All the actions that took place in each front all led to the armistice being signed on the eleventh of November. World War I started as mainly a European conflict seeing as most allies originated from countries in Europe and Europe had most of the power, but in the end it expanded to beyond Europe as outside countries were brought into the conflict for multiple reasons.

The conflict was what pushed forward the war and caused countries to call for more alliances. This had gotten more and more nations involved in what started as a small conflict to a war. Countries started declaring war on eachother until it was, what some might call, a bar fight.

When the other terrorist saw ferdinand coming down the road they were too shocked to do anything so there first plan failed. It was when Ferdinand and his wife were leaving that their driver made the wrong turn and was going by when Gavrilo Princip a member of the terrorist group them and killed Ferdinand and his Wife Sophia.
The European Alliances caused a big outbreak of countless events such as the war between the borders and the balance of power. Imperialism was a big contribution to World War 1. The amount of land that Britain and France owned caused a rivalry with Germany.
