How did WW2 start? Is there a way to justify what went on,? One main reason people fought in WW2 was for natural resources; the attacks planned by Adolf Hitler were not random, they went after places high in natural resources, like oil, or were taking out places that would help their conquest. The Germans would not be stopped - they kept conquering countries left and right, and America basically just let it come unwittingly. There was the treaty of Versailles, and that was only one thing, what about the neutrality acts, or Japan attacking China? These are examples of what was happening, while America paid little attention. It was like Hitler and Germany were a lion, and America was an ostrich with its head in the sand.
