In 1939, German soldiers attacked the Polish, which was considered the start of the war. However, 1941 was the official start of World War II, also known as the second war. It started in a period in time that involved pure evil inflicted onto the innocent. It was the greatest conflict in history. The war was fought on land, air, and sea but the foot soldier won this war with their determination. World War II was devastating, destructive and most of all deadly.

Hitler ignored this threat and so war was declared against the UK and France. The Germans first attack was on Denmark and Norway which took place in April of 1940. On December 11, 1941, a couple days after Japan carried out a huge attack on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, the United States joined the Allies. The war had become global. The major allies consisted of, United States, Soviet Union, United Kingdom, and China. The Nazis didn’t even come close to the amount of troops they had versus the 4 big allies. One fact that a lot of people know is that Adolf Hitler hated people that were Jewish. He hated them so badly that he took a lot of Jewish families and put them in gas chambers to kill them. The United States first attack was on Germany, partially because Germany at that time had been shooting U.S ships for months or even for years before America even chose to join the allies.
