Asian education system has become the focus of attention. Many studies indeed have documented that Asian (Asian American) students in general do well in school. They have higher achievement scores, lower dropout rates, and higher college entrance rate compared to all other students from different parts of the world (Peng and Wright 1-2). Even though those students with disadvantages backgrounds from Asian countries with a limited English proficiency and low economic status, perform extremely well through college with high academic achievement. This phenomenon forced teachers and professors to ask themselves why do Asian students have such a great academic performance through college? It is a great hint for educational success to know the strategies from Asia. In Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) survey by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2015, Singapore outperformed the rest of the world in the OECD’s latest PISA survey, which evaluates the quality, equity and efficiency of school systems. In deed, students from several countries in Asia have topped the latest global school rankings in science and math conducted by the OECD (Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development).
