In conclusion, the use of steroids allows an athlete have an unjust edge another athlete does not have, but it is a way of cheating. The use of steroids in sports is a problem; they have no place in sports. Using steroids to improve an athlete’s performance is degrading to sports and athletes. Athletes should have equal opportunities to win, but winning by using steroids becomes more important than winning fairly. An athlete has a drive to be the best in sports, but using steroids is not the best way to be the best. Sports are meant to be fun and a way of proving an athlete’s talent; however, by using steroids, they are damaging their own well-being and the image of sports. An athlete is affecting themselves just as much as the sports itself.
