As in “Romeo and Juliet” when getting married either Romeo or Juliet could have said no to it and stopped it but they made the choice to get married to express their “undying love for each other.” Even after that, when Romeo and Tybalt were fighting,Romeo chose to kill Tybalt which resulted in him being banished, which he avoided being sentenced to death because the Prince chose to let him off since he was avenging Mercutio's death. Which takes it to how even the death of Tybalt could have been avoided, but it happened because Tybalt made a personal choice to fight Mercutio and stab him under Romeo's arm after Romeo tried to stop them from fighting by coming in between them. Also in “Pyramus and Thisbe” they made the personal choice of sneaking out at night to meet each other resulting in both of their own separate demises. Which all could have been avoided if Pyramus and Thisbes parents wouldn’t have chosen to keep them apart and say that could not be together, because it only ended in tragedy. It is also the reason why the same happens with Romeo and Juliet as their parents didn’t want to end the feud between the Capulet and the Montegues causing their story to also end in tragedy.
