For an example, roads, waterways, railroads, and steamboats were being created. The industry started to change due to more factories being opened.
To begin, the Industrial Revolution had a significant impact on the way goods were produced because of the new advancements and inventions. Goods were originally produced by hand or manually, then when the Industrial Revolution period began, goods were being produced by machines. The inventions of the machines caused the positive effects of the Industrial Revolution which are higher production rates, affordable goods, increased efficiency, and transportation. An example of transportation is found in document 4 which states, “You can travel cheaply from place to place, and not only travel at less expense, but travel ten times quicker than two hundred years ago.” This document proves that transportation had a positive effect on the community
As like the telephone , motor vehicles helped improve the network of transportation and communications ,it also created new job opportunities as well. The inventions of power driven machines helped maximise productivity and capacity with more products being produced in a small amount of time, this also created wealth and made it more easier to make goods and products. These factors led to more companies and industries such as the railroad industry which one of them was the transcontinental railroad that brought the resources from coast to coast with the help of land grants from the government. This made it easier to get resources to different areas of the nation in a small amount of time. It also expanded many markets.
Factory workers started to produce more consumer goods and transport them because they became in high demand. Another way the new transportation effected the economy is it made it easier for people to travel from one place to another. This is how people started moving towards the East coast to the West coast. The New Era The assembly lines helped the economic boom which made the automobile industry grow. With the car industry it made it easy for people to move around ,so people began to go to the suburbs which made construction jobs increase. The treatment of workers began to get better. Some employers began using Welfare Capitalism which for example gave workers paid vacations, shorter work days and higher wages. Women started to work they had jobs such as secretaries, telephone operators and salesclerk.
Everythings was being done faster which, resulted in more products being made, there was more money, and it meet people's demands. Factories started becoming more popular during the Industrial Revolution. The factories caused goods to be produced faster, gave people jobs, and organized production.
