Why Go To California State University

When it comes to me deciding to attend California State University Sacramento; my three reasons are for my parents, my major and the location. My parents are one of the reasons is because my mom went to Sacramento State in the 1990s and I want to continue the family tradition. My major is another reason why I decided to go to Sacramento state is because this schools has a good business program in my opinion and I am humble to be part of the program itself. Location is one of my three reasons is because this school is closer to where I like which is near Elk Grove. When it comes to my feeling toward my decision to attend Sacramento State University, I feel happy as well as uneasy. Public speaking, critical thinking, initiative, professionalism, multitasking, problem solving, customer service, and academic advising are the skills that a person will obtain when becoming part of the orientation team. The skills I excel are Public speaking, critical thinking, initiative, professionalism, multitasking, and problem solving. I have good skills in public speaking because I enjoy speaking to others and I have good practice in my public speaking classes. I am proficient in my critical thinking skill because I think logical the things I do or what is the best solution in a situation. Taking the initiative is the skill I am good at because I have the capability to take charge or handle the situation myself if I need to in a certain situation. Professionalism is the characteristics I have because I have to act professional towards those that requires professionalism. Multitasking is one of the skills I have due to the fact that I can do multiple things at once in situations that need multitasking. I am good with problem solving because I have to solve issues to make things smoother. The skills that I am good at will be sharpened more when I become an orientation leader so I can be more skilled in the things that I am excelled at. The two skills that I have to develop more is customer service and academic advising. Even though I did some customer service related jobs in my community service work, I still need to improve that skill in order to be successful.
