Why Has the Job of the President Become so Complex?

Time is infinite yet brief. It is never ending but it ends people and things. Over time, things change. They evolve, grow, die off, improve. Many things change over time, people, population, even the world. One of many things that evolved over time is the government. From settlers, to a colony, to a revolution, sprouted a government [the United States of America (U.S.)]. This young government, new to the world has many things to learn. Inherent powers are powers derived from the Constitution that were not formally written in it. They helped expand and extend the president's power. Inherent powers were usually derived during times of war or need. For example, during the civil war Abraham Lincoln excused the writ of habeas, took out funds from the Treasury, controlled the militias, and created a blockade on defiant states without receiving approval from the Congress. Lincoln combined powers from the first and second articles of the Constitution so what he did was within his boundaries since it didn’t directly say in the Constitution. President Harry Truman also created an inherent power by sending troops to Korea during the Korean War without the consent of the Congress. Presidents used to be very closed off. The first president to connect and directly address their citizens was Franklin D. Roosevelt. During the Great Depression, Roosevelt used the radio to directly instruct and address his citizens. He called his talks with the citizens fireside chats. As technology evolved, presidents began using a different way to communicate with their people. Harry Truman was the first president to use television as a connection to his people. Today’s current president, Donald Trump, uses the multimedia to address and connect with his people. The president before him, Barack Obama, also used the multimedia. When the government first came to be, the nation’s population was significantly smaller and the people that were allowed to vote were white, wealthy, rich, landowners. As time went on, the population increased and so did the people that owned land. Population increase then got common people to vote. Population continued to grow and so did other races therefore allowing black people to vote. Over time population will always grow and 50 percent of the population is female therefore allowing women to vote. A president’s election depends on the vote of the people meaning that majority need to vote for them. A person would typically vote for the person they like most and think would do the best job as president. To gain votes, a candidate would campaign with their party- the two main parties are the
